MAGMA narrates the technological, artistic and human history of the Follonica steelworks at the height of its production. The new interactive and multimedia exhibition brings the old furnace back to life, with an attractive exhibition route in three large sections, corresponding to the three floors of the building: ART, HISTORY AND PRODUCTION. Each hall develops and explores a topic closely related to the production of cast iron not only locally, but also in Europe and beyond. The Museum carries out educational activities for local and district schools, organises exhibitions and offers workshops on the art of casting. It also promotes in-depth cultural initiatives and excursions to disseminate knowledge of the history and nature of the area.
